So, if your lie angle is four degrees too flat this will cause your
ball to be 44 feet to the slice side of the target, assuming you
make a good swing directly down the target line. If your lie angle
is two degrees too upright the ball will influenced 22 feet to the
hook side etc.
If the lie of your clubs is out then what you end up doing is making
compensations in your swing to get the ball to go where you want it
to. This will make it extremely difficult to be consistent and get
the most from your game.
Think about the shots you hit ... If you thought you hit a good one
and it went right (most common for right hander's) then there is a
very good chance your lie angles are out.
